Steampunk Insect
For this project, I had to create a steampunk insect using different images of steampunk parts. I selected individual  pieces from the images and placed them on the dragonfly so it looked steampunk-ish. This project was not very difficult and all it needed was some shadows to make it look believable. Very careful selections were crucial and I believe I did this very well.
Steampunk Text
For this project, I had to create a steampunk image from scratch by drawing pipes and claps and other parts using only Photoshop. Several parts were made and the only images I used were the clocks and gauges. I arranged the parts so they formed my name and added some steam coming out of the pipes. The gear was made in Illustrator and the hose was puppet warped to make curved. I added a grunge texture and background to finish. This project took a long time to complete and I am satisfied with the way it turned out after working hard.
Anaglyph 3D Image
For this project, I had to research images that appeared to pop out so as to have a good 3D effect as well as depth of field. After finding this image of a bird, I created a displacement map; making the things closest to the viewer white and the things farther away black. After that, I followed the instructions and plugged in the values for displacing the original image to make it 3D. The outcome was satisfactory and I thought I did well in this project as it was not very difficult.
Animal Merge
To create this image, I had to brainstorm different ideas and possibilities of animals that could be merged together. Once I came up with an idea, I researched images if the animals i wanted and found a couple that could be merged well because of their positions. After selecting the elephant's head out of its image, I resized it and began to blend it with the manatee picture. I changed the hue and saturation levels and achieved a nice underwater color to blend the elephant with the rest of the image and body. It was a tough process of researching animals that would blend perfectly both in position and appearance.
Forced Perspective
To make this project, I first came up with an idea for creating the illusion of forced perspective. I then researched images that were high in quality to use and resized them slightly to make them look like they were in place correctly. After selecting the images out of their background, creating the illusion was easy. I added a shadow to the skateboard to make it look like it was in the same location.
3rd Nine weeks reflection
During these nine weeks, I created images that involved a lot of photomanipulation and drawing. These projects were for the most part simple except for the last couple. These took a long time to complete and required much effort to accomplish. The projects had informative tutorials that made them easier to do and I always had help available when I needed it. All the projects turned out well and I was satisfied with the end results. I look forward to creating more images using what I've learned this quarter.
